The No Fuss Appetizer Platter is a dream: assembly only and incredibly delicious! Soft and hard cheeses, fruit and seasoned nuts with a delightful use of sweet fig spread!

The Greens:

Because holiday dinners can be quite a bit of work I chose this Butter Leaf Salad with Pear Vinaigrette as a side salad this year. Not only is it beautiful but it has few ingredients and the dressing can be whipped up in the blender the morning of!

Veggies on the Side:

Glazed Carrots with Orange Zest are my pick this year! So simple and made in minutes on the cook top…gotta free up that oven space! These sweet glazed carrots are always a hit. But if you are more of a traditionalist you can always stick with my Grandma Julia’s Green Beans.

Potato, Po-tah-to:

I am sticking with my favorite Decadent Smashed Potatoes this year. These are so good I rarely deviate!

Stuffing Matters:

I love stuffing! This Italian Sausage and Apple Stuffing can be used in the bird or baked in a pan and served as a dressing. Either way it is delicious holiday comfort food! Made with Ciabatta bread, veggies, apples and sausages this stuffing is something special. And placed atop a little turkey and cranberry sauce…well, it’s heaven!

Homemade Cranberry Sauce is the Way to Go!

If the thought of making cranberry sauce yourself kind of freaks you out, let me set your mind at ease. Cranberry sauce is simple to make and takes only five minutes! The best part is you can make it a day or two ahead. It is so much better than that gelatinous stuff that comes in a can. Try my Cranberry Sauce with Orange Zest, you won’t be sorry!

As Always, An Untraditional Dessert!

Pie just isn’t my jam. I am more of a cake girl and there is no better cake for your holiday festivities than this Vanilla Buttermilk Spice Cake. The texture is perfect and the hint of spices gives the cake a fall flavor without being overwhelming!
