This is Denis. And he is about to make your world a whole lot more pleasant…and I am not just talking about his Australian accent. Although that certainly doesn’t hurt.

Learn to give a great massage!

Denis is a massage therapist with 15 years experience and he can teach you, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, your partner how to give a great massage. Sorry to sound like it’s all about me, but I really needed my husband learn this skill. And I will tell you why.

This is a true story. Names have been changed to protect the innocent:

One day I was minding my own business sitting at the computer when my husband (we”ll call him Eduardo) put his hands on my shoulders. “Wow” Eduardo said, “your neck sure is tight”. Eduardo began massaging my neck. “Ouch Steve! I mean Eduardo, that hurts!” I squirm trying to get away. Eduardo says “No, come back! I need to get those knots out! You know what will work? A golf ball.” Eduardo goes to look for a golf ball while I look for a place to hide.

Notice Denis doesn’t use a golf ball. And notice his wife Emma is not trying to get away. In fact she looks super happy, and relaxed, and like she’s melting. In fact this video series is called “Melt” and in it Denis and Emma teach you everything you need to know to make your partner melt….

…from how to sit so you both stay comfortable, to how to use your body weight so your hands and arms don’t get tired. ‘Eduardo’ and I watched the first few Melt videos together on our laptop and were amazed at how quickly we learned the techniques.

The videos are easy to follow, beautifully filmed and you can watch at your own pace. This series is specifically designed for couples that have no previous massage experience and it takes just minutes to learn a new technique. And by the way, it’s a really nice way to spend the evening. It’s intimate and romantic and relaxing. It sure beats watching the golf channel!

How It Works:

The Basic Series: This series starts with correcting some of the most common massage mistakes and showing you the foundations of your massage with long, sweeping strokes. You watch the short videos with a technique or tip in each, and it ends with a 5 minute follow-along massage routine.

The Highlights Series: This is where things start to get really good! You learn to look for the sore spots on each other’s bodies and how to work them. The neck, shoulders, lower back, arms, head (the scalp massage is the best!)  After you learn the 9 techniques from this series, there’s a 15-minute massage routine to follow along to.

The Deep Tissue Series: So many people, myself included, love Deep Tissue stuff but it shouldn’t be over-emphasized. Denis leaves these tips to the very end for good reason, but they are such good techniques. It ends with an epic 30-minute massage follow along massage routine.

Post Massage Hydration: Fruit Infused Water Recipes

After a massage it is important to hydrate! Sometimes plain water can get a little boring so I like to spice things up with these fruit infused water recipes. Honestly, once you add fruit, spices and herbs to your water, you will do it forever!

Fruit infused water recipes!

The Recipes: Fruit Infused Water

Tips and what you will need: I assemble three of these in the morning and pull them out all day to drink. The longer the fruit, herbs or spices are in the water the stronger the taste will be. After drinking simply refill the jar! You can usually get two servings before the fruit starts to lose it’s flavor. I use wide mouth mason jars for ‘grab and go’ easy drinking. You can use the 16 or 32 oz jars. I add two drops of liquid stevia or raw honey on occasion to sweeten things up the healthy way, and use a drop of my favorite vanilla paste to the Apple Cinnamon Water! Adding a teeny pinch of celtic sea salt make these water and electrolyte drink!
