Filet Mignon with Chopped Salad:
This is a simple meal, a perfectly cooked filet, seared on the cooktop and oven finished, set atop a chopped salad dressed with traditional ranch dressing. Lovely, simple, filling and delicious.
The Steak:
We are using a lightly seasoned filet mignon for this recipe because it’s tender and is the perfect cut of meat to serve with this salad. I recommend a 6-8 oz filet and will give you the formula for cooking to your liking. I love medium rare, my husband likes well done, so I’ve gotten very good at this!

The Salad:
A base of chopped romaine with diced Granny Smith apples, cucumbers, tomato, walnuts, and carrots, all tossed with ranch dressing. You can use your favorite ranch or make my recipe! It’s so good and super easy to make.

Put It Together and Wow!
High protein, lower carb, fairly easy to make and takes less that 30 minutes total to prep and cook!
