I recently had to revamp my morning routine because of kidney stones (click to read). So this ‘green’ juice has no hard to digest bitter greens, just liver friendly, low oxalate, high water content fruits and vegetables. Simply run ingredients through the juicer and serve!
The Recipe: Delicious Soothing Morning Juice
You will need: a juicer <—that’s the one I use and I love it! Raw honey and a whisk (affiliate links) If you prefer to spice it up, replace the raw honey with a nub of fresh ginger.
- 2 cold cucumbers
- 2 cold Granny Smith apples
- 1 large lemon, peeled (cold)
- 2 teaspoons raw honey or 1/2" nub of fresh ginger
-
Run vegetables and fruit through juicer. Add raw honey and stir well. (If using ginger run through juicer in between the vegetables)
MAY I PLEASE ASK A LITTLE FAVOR?

I seriously love that you are serving it in that glass 🙂 This looks lovely. I don’t consume raw greens like kale or spinach because of the goitrogen affect on thyroid since I have thyroid issues. This is beautiful and I would love to try it!
Lol thanks Renee! I love those glasses! And yes this juice is for those of us with oxalate and thyroid issues!
Looks lovely and perfect!!! I love these flavors together! Granny Smith are one my favorites to juice, and put with lemon and cucumber, mmm hmmm!!! <3
Thanks Megan, just drank it and I don’t miss the spinach and kale at all! And neither do my kidneys:)
Can you please make a list of low Oxalate foods
They are available online!
Pinned it!! I have been compiling all my recipes and this one is so pretty!! Thank you!! Trish
Thanks Trish! I appreciate pins!
I want to try it! thx for the recipe!
Looking forward to trying it!
This looks very good and I’m young and this looks easy to begin with.
Super easy and tasty!
i didnt have granny smith apples but i used green pears instead and it was very sour so i added 2 apples and it was still super sour lol didnt even put the ginger because i didnt want it to be too bitter!
This recipe can be a bit tart which is why I add the option of honey:) Ginger isn’t bitter so don’t be afraid of that but it does add a bit of a kick!
I’m looking forward to trying this in the morning. It sounds delicious!
